VIGIL IN SUPPORT OF GEORGES ABDALLAH  JULY 14 MONTREAL

By PAJU

On Friday, July 14 2023 PAJU organized a vigil in support of political prisoner Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, unjustly imprisoned in France for more than three decades. To shouts of ‘ Vive la France Carcérale’ and ‘Free Georges Abdallah, the Arab Nelson Mandela ’, PAJU distributed more than 400 leaflets detailing the unjust incarceration of Georges Abdallah. Those 400 people now know who Georges Abdallah is and why he remains a political prisoner in France where the Bastille still exists but is called by a different name.

The French Consulate in Montreal is situatedon McGill College Avenue but due to major construction on the street, the French Consulate inaccessible, so we set up our vigil a short distance down the street at the corner of McGill College And Ste-Catherine streets, one of the busiest corners in downtown Monteal.  We were delighted by encouragement of passers-by who took our leaflets, printed in both French and English.

Vive Georges Abdallah! Vive la Palestine libre!
