Scotiabank Divest from Elbit Systems, Divest from War Crimes!

THURSDAY NOON from 12:00 to 13:30 pm inside the McGill metro station just outside the turnstiles.

  • Scotiabank recently became Elbit Systems’ largest foreign shareholder with a stake of $500 million
  • Elbit Systems is an Israeli weapons manufacturer that produces drones, weapons systems and munitions used in Israel’s colonisation and occupation of Palestine
  • Elbit made weapons systems have been used in war crimes committed by Israel including the Apartheid Wall and massacres of Palestinian civilians
  • Elbit Systems weapons are built for and used by Israel in committing war crimes including attacks on Palestinians in Gaza, maintaining the illegal occupation of Palestine and upholding Israel’s system of Apartheid
  • Numerous banks and investment funds have already taken the decision to divest from Elbit Systems including the Norwegian Pension Fund, U.K.-based HSBC, the Danske Bank and the Australian Sovereign Wealth Fund
  • Scotiabank can and must divest too!

Take Action:

  • If you are a Scotiabank account holder, tell the manager at your branch that you want Scotiabank to divest from Elbit Systems
