{"id":2526,"date":"2020-02-21T07:31:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-21T07:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paju.org\/?p=2526"},"modified":"2020-02-20T14:34:17","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T14:34:17","slug":"end-of-occupation-no-993","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paju.org\/fr\/end-of-occupation-no-993\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00ab End of Occupation \u00bb No 993"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Palestinians Stand in Solidarity with Wet\u2019suwet\u2019en Nation<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The TransCanada Coastal Gaslink pipeline aims to steal Wet\u2019suwet\u2019en land, use resource extraction to solidify control over Indigenous territories, <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2524 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/paju.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/993-300x207.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paju.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/993-300x207.png 300w, https:\/\/paju.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/993-768x530.png 768w, https:\/\/paju.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/993.png 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>destroy the environment and violate Indigenous laws.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the occupied Palestinian territory, we stand in solidarity with the Wet\u2019suwet\u2019en Nation and land defenders at the Unist\u2019ot\u2019en Camp and Gidimt\u2019en who continue to resist Canada\u2019s colonial incursions of their unceded territories.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), the largest coalition in Palestinian civil society that leads the global BDS movement, sends a message of support to your struggle.<\/p>\n<p>We call on the Palestine solidarity movement in Turtle Island and elsewhere to stand with the Wet\u2019suwet\u2019en Nation.<\/p>\n<p>As Palestinians, we have firsthand experience with a colonial power, Israel\u2019s regime of occupation, colonization and apartheid, that systemically works to dispossess, divide and strip us of our lands and resources.<\/p>\n<p>We know too well, from our own experience, that the TransCanada Coastal Gaslink pipeline aims to steal Wet\u2019suwet\u2019en land, use resource extraction to solidify control over Indigenous territories, destroy the environment and violate Indigenous laws. We also know that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) attacks, sanctioned by the Trudeau government, against the Hereditary Wet\u2019suwet\u2019en leadership, matriarchs and land defenders, are used to violate Indigenous sovereignty. The RCMP is employing tactics and equipment&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/bdsmovement.net\/news\/no-impunity-ethnic-cleansing-jerusalem-boycott-israel-now\">similar to Israel\u2019s government<\/a>, including&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UnistotenCamp\/status\/1226695842259537925\">Caterpillar bulldozers<\/a>, to seize indigenous lands.<\/p>\n<p>We are deeply grateful for the Wet\u2019suwet\u2019en people for their indomitable spirit, and their tireless defence of the land and water resources.
