DESCRIPTION:May 1st International Workers Day Montreal demonstration at 6 pm on mai 1st at Victoria Square (metro Square Victoria-OACI)\nRIGHTS CRUSHED AND STOLEN\,  RESIST\nGENOCIDE IN PALESTINE\,  RESIST\nWorkers\, retirees\, unemployed people\, students\, community groups\, human rights organizations\, people of all ages and backgrounds: let’s unite on May 1\, 2026\, in Montreal\, for International Workers’ Day.\nAs the global system is reshaped under the yoke of war and imperialism\, as the genocide in Palestine continues in an unbearable silence and counter-powers are actively repressed\, the anti-union\, racist\, transphobic\, anti-immigrant\, anti-feminist\, and anti-freedom bills\, the cuts to public services\, and the accelerated rise in precarity are all contributing to closing off the future.\nIn the face of this\, we refuse to remain silent! In the face of fear\, overwhelm\, and the unbearable\, let us counter with resistance\, collective organization\, and solidarity!\nAnti-union laws. Harmful policies for the most vulnerable workers. Inaction in the face of the housing crisis. Cuts to public service and social program budgets. Privatization. Our social safety net is broken by the CAQ’s political choices\, and instead of trying to strengthen it\, this boss-driven government is multiplying decisions that collectively impoverish us\, infringe on our rights\, and silence criticism.\nLike governments of recent decades\, the CAQ is cutting public service budgets and promoting the development of private markets. For the population\, this means reduced access to the services they need. It also means unacceptable working conditions for those who provide those services. Yet\, accessible and universal social services and programs are a key to ensuring everyone’s right to live in dignity.\nNow more than ever\, we must put pressure on the government to stop attacking our rights and further destroying our social safety net!\nLet’s resist together!\n\n

Encouraged by the ongoing genocide in Gaza\,  Israel and the United States have extended their war to Lebanon\, Iran and the whole region.\nSaturday May 16 at 2 pm in front of the Zionist Consul (1 Westmount Square metro Atwater)\, a coalition of Palestinien and Arab groups has organized a demonstration to demand the end of the ongoing NAKBA and to state that we will struggle until the total liberation of the Palestinian people.\nUNITY\, LIBERATION \, RETURN
